Flight delays ended late Saturday afternoon at Winnipeg’s airport after Friday’s storm stranded a jet to the side of a runway Friday night. Poor visibility from blowing snow caused the flight crew to miss a taxi-direction light at around 10:30 pm Friday. As a result, the plane taxied off the runway and got stuck in wet grass and mud. The plane was finally dislodged at around 3:45 Saturday afternoon. Flights were delayed for between 10 minutes to an hour, with a single runway open for most of Saturday.
